How do I know if a website is down for everyone?

Search for the service. Its page shows how many people reported a problem in the last hour compared with a normal day, what they reported, where they are, and for websites, the result of our own latest check. If reports are normal and our check passes, the problem is most likely on your side.

Where do the reports come from?

From visitors like you. Anyone can press a problem button on a status page; we count one report per person per service every 30 minutes and drop bots and data-center traffic, so one person cannot fake an outage.

Is the site affiliated with the services it tracks?

No. We are an independent site. We do not work for, and are not paid by, any service we list, and nobody can pay to change a status.

How fast are new outages shown?

Reports appear on the service page and in the live feed above within seconds. The status label is recalculated every time the page loads.

A service I use is missing. Can you add it?

Yes. Tell us through the contact page and we will add it, usually within a few days.
